Lallemand Animal Nutrition held a ruminant technical meeting in October 2s^nd, in Clermont-Ferrand within the context of the Sommet de l’Elevage, one of the main international trade shows for livestock professionals.

The event, focused on the rumen ecosystem, gathered around 80 French delegates; farmers, technicians, feed and premixes manufacturers and journalists, around renowned scientists and veterinarians experts in ruminant nutrition. The aim of this event was to give an overview and update about the rumen microflora, the factors that affect its balance and function, such as the composition of the diet, the consequences of these changes at farm-level (in terms of health, performance, impact on the environment), as well as the strategies to control them, with a focus on ruminant specific live yeast Levucell^®SC, which was selected over 15 years ago in this region.
