Lallemand at the forefront of this quality and safety system: 3 manufacturing sites already accredited to FAMI-QS’s stringent standards.

It is official: the Standing Committee on Animal Nutrition has approved FAMI-QS (Feed Additives and Premixtures Quality System) Code of Practice as a community guide for feed operators under the EC Feed Hygiene Regulation .

Since its involvement in animal nutrition, Lallemand has tenaciously invested in adopting quality management systems at its various plants across North America and Europe. This is in order to offer its customers the highest standards of quality and safety (in line with the greater emphasis placed on this by recent EC Feed legislation) as well as good hygiene, purity and efficacy of its feed additives which comes as standard. Most of our production sites have received or are in the process of being FAMI-QS accredited.

FAMI-QS accredited sites include:
• Vienna (Austria) – yeast production,
• Saint-Simon (France) – bacteria production,
• Grenaa (Denmark) – yeast production

Lallemand manufacturing sites are also certified to other relevant quality standards including ISO 9001:2000, AIB, AFIA SFSF, AFSSAPS Pharma, NHPD, HC, IFS, HACCP.

*FAMI-QS code of practice and certification aims to ensure the safety of feed additives and premixtures, the harmonisation in the EU of feed hygiene requirements, and to improve traceability. The FAMI-QS fully integrates the Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001 requirements.
