Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are formed as natural by-products of normal cell activity and participate in cellular signaling. The are neutralized by the antioxidant network in the cells. If ROS production exceeds the capacity of antioxidant defense, then oxidative stress occurs. A proper dietary antioxidant supplementation is recommended to reduce the risk of oxidative damage and its associated problems.

All animal species fed with a high-quality inactivated selenium-enriched yeast offering a superior bioavailability and/or with a dried melon juice naturally rich in the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase, will be able to modulate their oxidative stress level and antioxidant desenses.

ALKOSEL 3000ALKOSEL is a specific inactivated whole cell yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) product containing elevated levels of organic selenium (min. 98%). It contains more than 98% of selenium in an organic form (this means the element ‘selenium’ is metabolised by the yeast and part of the amino acids and proteins). Due to its high bioavailability, ALKOSEL optimizes […]
A natural source of Superoxide Dismutase: MELOFEEDMELOFEED is a feed supplement made from dried melon juice from a specific variety that is naturally rich in the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD).
