Complementary feed for reproductive sows: LALFERTI+
This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Product availability and claims may differ by country and shall be used according to applicable laws.
Product details
It contains notably ALKOSEL, a premium source of bioavailable selenium, YELA PROSECURE, a specifically designed hydrolyzed yeast obtained from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and dried melon juice naturally rich in superoxide dismutase (from MELOFEED).
How it works
Hyper-prolific sows can be subject to increased oxidative stress due to their high reproductive activity. LALFERTI+ provides key antioxidant-supporting nutrients that support the body’s antioxidant defenses, including organic selenium yeast and superoxide dismutase (SOD) from melon juice powder, as well as other key vitamins and other nutritional ingredients.
It supports the animal’s antioxidant defense system and helps maintain an oxidative balance during the period of weaning to estrus, when fertilization, embryo implantation and subsequent piglet development occur.

Figure 1. How oxidative stress can impair on embryo development and subsequent performance in hyper-prolific sows
Why it matters
Oxidative stress can affect reproductive efficiency and piglet quality.
By supporting redox homeostasis during the flushing period, LALFERTI+ can contribute to maintaining good reproductive outcomes, including farrowing rate, reduced return to estrus, embryo viability, and piglet quality and litter homogeneity. Field trials have also demonstrated positive economic returns for producers.
Applications
Embryo development requires high antioxidant supplementation to favor fetus growth and allow good implantation in the uterine wall.
Supplementing sows with LALFERTI+ after weaning until insemination helps to keep favorable sows’ physiological conditions to support fecundation and nidation, ensuring good embryo viability and subsequent piglet quality.
- Gilts in quarantine to prepare for first insemination
- Preparation for insemination (flushing period)
- Summer infertility (flushing period)
Recommended feeding rate: 1 per sow per day for 6 consecutive days, starting around weaning. Apply the tablet directly in the trough.
Shelf life
18 months from the date of production when stored in a cool, dry place in the original packaging.
